The Space Sector is seeking a Linux Systems Architect - Level 2 to join the engineering team. In this role, you will review, understand, and design automation techniques to address diverse infrastructure requirements. You will work closely with software and systems engineering teams to ensure requirements are understood and blockers are elevated. Your daily tasks involve designing, implementing, and maintaining classified Linux environments while ensuring compliance with information systems cyber standards in closed areas. You will utilize tools and technologies including Ansible, yum, ldap, git, kickstart, dns, dhcp, firewalld, and SELinux. Key responsibilities include managing logical volumes, pki, and stig implementation. You must possess strong analytical skills to translate high-level needs into requirements within an Agile development environment using VMWare for migration and maintenance.

What you'll do

Design and review automation techniques to address diverse infrastructure requirements.
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for system management.
Execute cyber hardening and patching procedures for Linux environments.
Design, implement, and maintain classified Linux environments.
Manage systems within applicable information systems cyber compliance standards in closed areas.
Coordinate with software and systems engineering teams to resolve technical blockers.
Translate high-level needs and use cases into specific technical requirements.
Manage Linux functions including yum, ansible, SELinux, and log analysis.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree.
An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Active Top Secret clearance required at the time of application.
Ability to obtain and maintain SCI and CI Poly prior to start.
Current Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP, or similar DoD 8570 security certification.
Experience with Linux Operating System and designing, implementing, and maintaining Classified Linux environments.
Experience operating and managing systems within current applicable information systems cyber compliance standards in closed areas.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
