Lead Systems Engineer The Lead Systems Engineer joins the Navigation Solutions team to perform critical systems engineering responsibilities including requirements development, decomposition, allocation, and verification planning. This role involves translating stakeholder needs into well-defined system-level requirements while managing traceability in DOORS, defining interfaces, and overseeing architecture development. Day-to-day tasks include tracking changes to system specifications, performing hands-on system integration, and executing test deployments. The candidate will utilize wireless and RF test equipment such as signal analyzers, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers to develop automation scripts, debug tools, and database interfaces. This position addresses the technical challenge of providing advanced military GPS and Position, Navigation, and Timing capabilities for weapons across ground, airborne, maritime, and space environments. Successful candidates must possess a strong hardware and software background in functional decomposition and system-modeling tools.

What you'll do

Translate customer and stakeholder needs into well-defined system-level requirements and architecture definitions.
Manage requirement traceability and updates within databases like DOORS.
Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and automation scripts for system verification.
Perform hands-on system integration and test deployment using wireless and RF equipment.
Track changes to system requirements and document results in reports for stakeholder review.
Create and deliver technical briefings to internal teams and external government customers.
Contribute to the improvement of overall system integration and automation processes.

What we're looking for

Must be eligible to obtain a US security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in STEM and 9 years of experience, a Graduate degree and 7 years of experience, or 13 years of experience without a degree.
Proficiency in operating wireless/RF test equipment such as signal analyzers, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
Experience with DOORS (preferred).
Strong technical background in architecture development, functional decomposition, requirements development, and interface definition using system-modeling tools (preferred).
Experience in V&V planning and execution (preferred).
Experience with hardware or embedded software implementation (preferred).
U.S. citizens.
