Lead Software Engineer, Platform Identity

What you'll do

• Design, build, and operate identity platform services and APIs from architecture through production.
• Lead initiatives to improve application reliability and stability using data-driven analytics to resolve technical bottlenecks.
• Establish service level indicators, objectives, and error budgets in partnership with stakeholders.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment tooling for multi-region scalability.
• Serve as the primary point of contact and lead during major production incidents.
• Integrate enterprise-authorized AI tools to accelerate incident triage, troubleshooting, and automated testing.
• Mentor other engineers and provide technical leadership on complex product requirements.
• Partner with security teams to ensure identity services remain compliant and well-governed.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise system architecture, and site reliability best practices.
• Experience designing and building production services and APIs using languages such as Python, Java/Spring-Boot, or Go.
• Proficiency with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Proficiency with CI/CD practices and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or Tempo.
• Experience troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues.
• Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to improve SRE workflows and software development life cycle tasks.
• Knowledge of modern authentication protocols, IAM models, PKI, and container orchestration (preferred).
