Lead Software Engineer, SRE Cloud Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and implement deployment approaches using automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for applications and platforms.
• Develop and implement solutions for application availability, reliability, and scalability.
• Monitor production alerts and provide L1 and L2 support to minimize customer impact.
• Utilize service level indicators and objectives to proactively resolve issues before they impact customers.
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Support the adoption of site reliability engineering best practices within the team.
• Guide others in building appropriate level designs and gaining consensus from peers.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, Scala, and/or .Net.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and AWS CDK.
• Experience developing and running data pipelines using PySpark with good debugging skills.
• Experience managing and developing/deploying on private or public cloud platforms.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and other container technologies.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools including Dynatrace, Open Telemetry, Prometheus, Datadog, and Grafana.
• Knowledge of GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins, SONAR, SPLUNK, Maven, AIM, and Continuous Delivery tools.
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized, AI-assisted software development tools for SRE workflows.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and security expectations.
• Production working knowledge of Databricks and Apache Airflow on AWS (preferred).
• AWS, Databricks, and/or Terraform certification (preferred).
• Working knowledge of Control-M/Autosys, Airflow scheduling package (preferred).
• UNIX file management, administration, and shell scripting experience (preferred).
• Oracle support/development including Ansi SQL and PL/SQL Stored Procedures (preferred).
