What you'll do

Develop, review, and debug high-quality production code in Java, Python, or Go.
Design and develop microservices, backend services, and data models for scalable products.
Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform to manage AWS cloud environments.
Drive the adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices across the software development lifecycle.
Establish validation standards for AI-generated code to ensure security, performance, and accuracy.
Influence product design and technical operations through high-level architecture and engineering decisions.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to internal teams, contractors, and external vendors.
Advocate for firmwide SDLC frameworks, tools, and best practices within the engineering community.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in Java, Python, or Go with strong AWS experience.
Experience using AWS services for APIs, standalone applications, messaging, and event-driven services.
Experience developing Terraform code and organizing workspaces (Infrastructure as Code).
Experience designing and developing microservices, backend services, and data models.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and coaching others on compliant usage.
Experience with messaging systems, Docker/containerization, CI/CD pipelines, TDD, and secure coding (preferred).
