What you'll do

Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions using Java, Python, and Node.js in distributed cloud environments.
Write secure, high-quality production code while performing peer code reviews and debugging.
Manage software integration and troubleshooting across AWS and Kubernetes environments.
Drive the adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish measurable validation standards for automated testing, secure coding, and peer review processes.
Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations through informed decision-making.
Serve as a subject matter expert and advocate for firmwide frameworks and SDLC tools.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Proficiency in Java or Python as a primary development language for large corporate environments.
Experience with database querying languages and modern programming languages.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools to code, test, troubleshoot, and document.
Understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and security expectations.
Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
Working knowledge of containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) within AWS cloud environments.
Experience with Node.js, infrastructure-as-code tools, or financial services technology (preferred).
