What you'll do

Develop and maintain high-quality Java-based services using Spring Boot with clear API contracts.
Design and operate microservices architectures focusing on resiliency, observability, and secure communication.
Build, deploy, and support cloud-native solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Conduct technical troubleshooting and develop creative solutions for complex software problems.
Review, debug, and mentor others on production code quality and engineering standards.
Automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability of applications.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for coding and testing.
Implement secure-by-design solutions in compliance with security and reliability requirements.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
Hands-on experience building production services using Java and Spring Boot.
Experience designing, delivering, and troubleshooting microservices-based solutions and distributed systems.
Practical experience building and operating workloads on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in a security-conscious environment.
Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring safety and compliance.
Experience with domain-driven design, cloud observability, containerization, or working in regulated environments (preferred).
