What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations processes.
Serve as a subject matter expert in specific technical areas to support firmwide objectives.
Advocate for firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices within the Software Development Life Cycle.
Promote the use of leading-edge technologies among peers and project decision-makers.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, and clean code practices.
Strong coding skills in Java and Spring with solid fundamentals.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools for coding, review, testing, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows including data sensitivity and security considerations.
Proven, hands-on experience across system design, application development, testing, and production support.
Experience with XZBoost and model hosting.
Experience with low-latency/high-throughput systems.
Knowledge of Big/Data technologies (preferred).
Exposure to agentic AI (preferred).
