What you'll do

Develop, design, and troubleshoot secure, high-quality production code for scalable market-leading technology products.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing across the team.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
Lead communities of practice to promote the awareness and use of leading-edge technologies across Software Engineering.
Apply knowledge of SDLC toolchains and automation capabilities to maximize the value realized by automated processes.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and setting validation standards for outputs.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced expertise in Java, SpringBoot, and the Reactor.io framework.
Proficiency in distributed microservices, event-driven architecture, automation, continuous delivery, and the full Software Development Life Cycle.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
Experience with the Spring ecosystem and AWS cloud services (preferred).
Familiarity with trading systems and exposure to the FIX protocol (preferred).
