What you'll do

Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish validation standards for AI-generated outputs including secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
Develop high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other engineers.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system operational stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Lead communities of practice to promote the use of leading-edge technologies across the organization.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
5+ years of applied experience in software engineering.
Demonstrated experience leading teams in using approved AI-assisted development tools for coding, review, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Advanced proficiency in Java (including Java 17) and the Spring Framework for building SOAP/RESTful Web Services.
Strong experience architecting, deploying, and operating cloud-native services on AWS.
Experience with build and integration tools such as JIRA, Maven, Git, Jenkins, GitHub, and BitBucket.
Proficiency in Agile methodologies, CI/CD, web security protocols, and automated testing.
