What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka.
Design and develop high-throughput, low-latency solutions for mission-critical 24/7 applications.
Implement infrastructure as code using AWS and Terraform.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system operational stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Perform peer code reviews and debug complex software components.
Write performant SQL queries and stored procedures for large-scale databases.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced experience in Java Server-side programming including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Kafka.
Experience designing high-throughput, low-latency solutions for mission-critical 24/7 applications.
Experience with distributed technologies, messaging systems (Kafka, WebSphere MQ/JMS, RabbitMQ), and performing SQL on various databases.
Experience building for testability using JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber/Gherkin, and Git for source control.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching others on responsible AI practices.
Experience with AWS and Terraform; experience with Python development (preferred).
