The role requires advanced proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and knowledge of Cassandra, MongoDB, or NoSQL. You will apply expertise in CI/CD, application resiliency, and security within a banking and financial industry context.

What you'll do

Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions for complex technical problems.
Write high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code from other team members.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system operational stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Lead communities of practice to promote the adoption of leading-edge technologies across software engineering.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for code quality and delivery speed.
Establish validation standards for AI outputs, including secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge and automation capabilities to increase the value of development processes.

What we're looking for

Formal degree or certification in software engineering concepts.
5+ years of applied experience in software engineering.
Advanced experience in developing Java on Spring Boot.
Advanced knowledge of Kafka.
Knowledge of Cassandra, MongoDB, noSQL, or Elastiq.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
Experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools for coding, review, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling.
