As a Lead Software Engineer- Java Full Stack within the Identity Access Management team, you will design, develop, and troubleshoot scalable software components to ensure secure and stable technology products. You will be responsible for creating architecture artifacts, writing unit-tested code, and mentoring team members in clean code, TDD, and problem-solving. A primary focus involves driving the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed while ensuring secure coding standards. Your daily work involves managing technical requirements like telemetry, monitoring, and security across various systems. You will utilize a technology stack including Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, Oracle, MS SQL, Cockroach, Terraform, and Jenkins. Additionally, you will leverage tools such as Selenium and Cucumber for test automation while navigating the complexities of identity access management infrastructure.
Design and develop scalable, resilient software systems while performing iterative improvements for product teams.
Write, comment, and unit test code to ensure high-quality software modules.
Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring code meets specific design constraints.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Implement automation capabilities within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to increase value.
Mentor team members in design, new technologies, clean code, TDD, and problem-solving.
Integrate non-functional requirements such as telemetry, monitoring, security, alerts, and logs into software solutions.
Manage production-related issues and investigate customer needs to improve the end-user experience.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Expert understanding of OOP concepts, Design Patterns, and extensive Software Analysis and Design experience.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and setting validation standards for team members.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Experience with Java, Web Services (REST, API), Spring Boot, Microservices, Multithreading, and databases like Oracle, MS SQL, or Cockroach.
Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools, Git, Jenkins CI/CD, and non-functional tools like Telemetry and Monitoring.
Experience with Test automation such as Selenium, Cucumber, or Blazemeter.
Experience with customer-facing web applications, NoSQL databases (Mongo), Agentic AI, or leading a technical team (preferred); certifications in AI/ML or Java (preferred).
