What you'll do

Design and develop high-quality production code for distributed systems using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
Drive architectural decisions for event-driven pipelines, CQRS patterns, and real-time data streaming.
Build and maintain front-end applications using React, TypeScript, and Redux Toolkit.
Manage and optimize MongoDB databases including aggregation pipelines, indexing, and sharding.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system operational stability.
Lead evaluations with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Drive team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices for code review, refactoring, and testing.
Lead communities of practice to promote the use of leading-edge technologies across the organization.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience building production microservices with Spring Boot and Java (21+) including Virtual Threads, Records, and Pattern Matching.
Experience working with event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka, including Producers, Consumers, Avro Serialization, and Schema Registry.
Experience building production React SPAs with TypeScript and Redux Toolkit for complex forms, data grids, and role-based access control.
Proficiency in MongoDB (aggregation pipelines, change streams, indexing, sharding) and RESTful API Design (OpenAPI 3.0).
Expertise in testing frameworks including JUnit 5, Spring Boot Test, and Playwright.
Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools, financial services or reference data domains (preferred), and DevOps/Kubernetes (preferred).
