As a Lead Software Engineer- Full Stack-Java within Credit Risk Technology, you will join an agile team to build and deliver secure, stable, and scalable market-leading technology products. You will serve as a core technical contributor responsible for designing creative software solutions, troubleshooting complex problems, and developing high-quality production code while reviewing others' work. Your daily responsibilities include driving the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve delivery speed and quality, managing automated testing, and leading evaluations with external vendors regarding architectural designs. You will utilize Java, SpringBoot, JPA, Rest, Junit, Mockito, and database querying languages within a cloud-native environment. The role requires expertise in the full software development life cycle, CI/CD, and application resiliency to solve technical challenges specifically within the financial services industry and its associated IT systems.
Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
Design and implement creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems beyond conventional approaches.
Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing across the team.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Utilize SDLC toolchains and automation capabilities to enhance the value of development workflows.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 8+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in Java, SpringBoot, JPA, and Rest.
Experience writing high-quality code with full automated unit test coverage using tools like Junit and Mockito.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in large corporate environments using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring security and performance standards.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and secure handling of inputs/outputs in engineering workflows.
Advanced knowledge of SDLC, agile methodologies (CI/CD), application resiliency, and financial services IT systems.
