As a Lead Software Engineer - Infrastructure Platforms, you will join the Core Foundational Platforms team to build and deliver trusted, scalable technology products. You will serve as a core technical contributor, designing creative software solutions, developing secure production code, and troubleshooting complex technical problems across various business functions. Your daily work involves setting strategies for agentic AI-enabled engineering, automating remediation of recurring issues, and leading communities of practice. You will utilize the full Software Development Life Cycle, including CI/CD, cloud-native technologies, and automation methods. Required skills include proficiency in programming languages, system design, and financial services IT systems. You will specifically address the technical challenge of scaling agentic AI development patterns while ensuring security, resiliency, and responsible AI governance within a complex infrastructure environment.

What you'll do

  • Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
  • Design and execute creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems beyond conventional approaches.
  • Set strategies and operating standards for agentic AI-enabled engineering to improve delivery speed and code quality.
  • Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
  • Lead communities of practice to drive the adoption of leading-edge technologies across Software Engineering.
  • Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve the value of automation at scale across the enterprise.

What we're looking for

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
  • Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in technical disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and scaling agentic AI-enabled development patterns and responsible AI use.
  • Practical cloud native experience.
  • Experience in Infrastructure Architecture designs (preferred).
  • Experience in AWS EKS, GCP GKE ecosystems (preferred).
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices (preferred).
  • Knowledge of multiple Cloud Platforms (preferred).
  • Proficiency in database technology such as Oracle, MS SQL, or Cockroach (preferred).
