As a Lead Software Engineer - Infrastructure Platforms within the Core Foundational Platforms team, you will serve as a core technical contributor focused on building and delivering secure, stable, and scalable market-leading technology products. You will design creative software solutions, develop high-quality production code, and troubleshoot complex problems while identifying opportunities to automate recurring issues for improved operational stability. Your role involves setting strategies for agentic AI-enabled engineering, leading communities of practice, and evaluating external vendor technologies. You will utilize advanced programming languages, automation, CI/CD methods, and cloud-native technologies including AWS EKS and GCP GKE ecosystems. Additionally, you will manage database technologies like Oracle, MS SQL, or Cockroach. This role addresses critical technical challenges within the financial services industry by implementing robust infrastructure architecture and responsible AI governance across various business functions.
Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
Design and implement creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems beyond routine approaches.
Identify opportunities to automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system operational stability.
Set strategies and operating standards for agentic AI-enabled engineering across a portfolio of products.
Define guardrails for validation, security, resiliency, and reuse for AI-assisted development tools.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
Lead communities of practice to drive the adoption of leading-edge technologies across Software Engineering.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Demonstrated experience designing and scaling agentic AI-enabled development patterns with appropriate governance and security controls.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
Practical cloud native experience; experience in Infrastructure Architecture, multiple Cloud Platforms, or specific ecosystems like AWS EKS/GCP GKE (preferred).
