The role requires expertise in Python, Flask, Django, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or Angular. You will work with AWS, Azure, or GCP, distributed systems, RESTful APIs, WebSockets, SQL, NoSQL databases, and CI/CD pipelines to solve complex problems within the banking domain.

What you'll do

Deliver end-to-end cloud-native, microservices-based applications using modern architectural patterns and best practices.
Develop secure production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
Drive the adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system operational stability.
Design scalable, reliable solutions that eliminate single points of failure and ensure zero-downtime releases.
Lead communities of practice to promote awareness and adoption of leading-edge technologies.
Investigate and resolve technical issues promptly to prevent them from resurfacing.
Update software patterns and technologies continuously to keep systems current and performant.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, including system design, application development, testing, and operational support.
Proficiency in back-end technologies such as Python, Flask, and Django to build microservices-based applications.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), distributed systems, and web technologies like RESTful APIs and WebSockets.
Hands-on experience designing and building scalable applications using SQL and NoSQL databases.
Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and agile development methodologies like Scrum.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and ensuring responsible AI usage.
Advanced understanding of CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
