Full Stack Lead Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and develop cloud-native, microservices-based applications using modern architectural patterns.
• Execute creative software solutions and technical troubleshooting to solve complex problems beyond conventional approaches.
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Develop secure production code and perform code reviews to identify opportunities for automation and remediation.
• Use domain modeling techniques to structure software for clarity, testability, and long-term evolution.
• Design scalable solutions that avoid single points of failure and ensure zero-downtime releases.
• Lead communities of practice to promote the use of leading-edge technologies across the engineering organization.
• Investigate and resolve production issues promptly while updating technologies to keep systems current.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in back-end technologies such as Java, Springboot, or Node.js to build microservices-based applications.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), distributed systems, RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and JSON.
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on responsible AI use.
• Hands-on experience designing and building scalable applications using SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and the full software development life cycle.
• Strong soft skills including presentation, negotiation, mentoring, and stakeholder management (preferred).
• Experience in the banking domain (preferred).
