As a Lead Software Engineer-AWS and Terraform within the Corporate Sector-Commercial and Investment Banking Finance team, you will serve as a core technical contributor in an agile environment. You will build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and manage complex workloads on AWS platforms including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, and various storage and database services. Technical requirements include proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell, along with expertise in CI/CD pipelines, networking components like VPC and Route 53, and the development of reusable Infrastructure-as-Code modules to solve complex financial systems problems.

What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
Design and implement scalable cloud-native solutions using AWS services like EC2, Lambda, and RDS.
Author and maintain reusable Infrastructure-as-Code modules using Terraform to manage cloud environments.
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and infrastructure provisioning.
Lead technical evaluations with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technology applicability.
Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and development speed.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of systems.
Lead communities of practice to promote the use of leading-edge technologies across the software engineering organization.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
5+ years of applied experience in software engineering.
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Python.
Practical cloud-native engineering experience designing and operating workloads on AWS.
Expertise in AWS compute (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda), networking (VPC, Route 53, Load Balancers), and storage/data platforms.
Proven Infrastructure-as-Code skills with Terraform, including reusable modules and remote state management.
Strong automation and delivery capabilities using CI/CD pipelines and scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring security and quality standards.
