What you'll do

Design, develop, and troubleshoot complex software solutions across multiple technical areas.
Write secure, high-quality production code while automating the remediation of recurring issues.
Lead resiliency design reviews and decompose complex problems into actionable tasks for other engineers.
Act as the primary point of contact during major incidents to resolve critical system failures.
Improve application reliability and performance using data-driven analytics to enhance service levels.
Establish service level indicators, objectives, and error budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks by providing high-level expertise in specific domains.
Document and share technical knowledge through internal forums and communities of practice.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise system architecture, toil reduction, and site reliability best practices.
Advanced hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Fluency in at least one modern programming language such as Python or Java/Spring Boot.
Advanced knowledge of software applications, technical processes, and emerging depth in cloud or distributed systems.
Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools with service level objective alerting.
Proficiency with container and orchestration technologies like ECS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Experience troubleshooting networking technologies, practical cloud native experience, and knowledge of AWS, Terraform, or data streaming (preferred).
