As a Lead Software Engineer - Security Platforms within the Consumer & Community Banking CTC, you will join an agile team focused on building and delivering secure, stable, and scalable market-leading technology products. You will lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams regarding architectural designs and technical credentials. The role requires expertise in at least one programming language, cloud native technologies, and the full Software Development Life Cycle. You must possess deep knowledge of financial services IT systems and experience with CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.

What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
Design and execute creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems beyond conventional approaches.
Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing across the team.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Utilize SDLC toolchains and automation capabilities to increase the value realized by automated processes.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
5+ years of applied experience in software engineering.
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
Experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools for coding, review, and troubleshooting.
Understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
