Lead Software Engineer, Security & Privileged Access

What you'll do

• Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
• Design and execute creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems and break down technical hurdles.
• Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
• Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing across the team.
• Apply knowledge of SDLC toolchains and automation capabilities to maximize the value of automated processes.
• Lead communities of practice to promote the use of leading-edge technologies across Software Engineering.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced proficiency in Java and Shell Scripting with strong knowledge of OOP and Design Patterns.
• Proficiency in Linux-based systems, automation, and continuous delivery methods.
• Experience in authentication, authorization, encryption, and RBAC/ABAC controls.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and the full Software Development Life Cycle.
• Practical experience with cloud-native technologies, real-time messaging, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and responsible AI practices.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems (preferred).
• Practical knowledge of cloud-native platforms and solutions (preferred).
• Experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and SRE skills (preferred).
• Proficiency in Python (preferred).
