The Lead Principal Technical Program Manager joins the data center server operations team as an individual contributor to lead complex, high-impact technical programs supporting global infrastructure. This role involves establishing program scope, milestones, governance mechanisms, and success metrics for initiatives involving hardware support workflows, technician productivity, automation, and service reliability. The manager will drive the modernization of operational platforms, including inventory coordination, guided procedures, and analytics. Key responsibilities include managing risks, dependencies, and launch readiness while partnering with engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to ensure scalable solutions. The role requires expertise in cloud infrastructure, data center operations, workflow automation, and large-scale distributed systems. Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical programs for data center server operations and workflow automation.
Define program scope, milestones, resource requirements, risk mitigation plans, and success metrics aligned with organizational goals.
Establish governance mechanisms, operating cadences, KPIs, and executive reporting structures to ensure program transparency.
Serve as the primary escalation point for critical technical, operational, and security issues to drive timely resolutions.
Partner with engineering and architecture leaders to ensure systems are designed for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Manage launch readiness activities including test planning, phased rollouts, and post-launch performance measurement.
Use data, metrics, and dashboards to assess program health and inform executive decision-making.
Develop written narratives and documentation to communicate status, trade-offs, and recommendations to senior leadership.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
12+ years of experience in technical program management, business program management, project management, engineering program leadership, infrastructure operations, or a related role.
Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, cross-organizational technical programs from strategy and planning through execution, launch, adoption, and measurement.
Experience partnering with engineering, product, operations, analytics, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to drive alignment and resolve dependencies.
Experience managing program risks, dependencies, executive escalations, competing priorities, resource constraints, and ambiguous requirements in a fast-paced technical environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using metrics, dashboards, reporting, and operational data to guide decisions and measure success.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting status, risks, decisions, trade-offs, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results without direct authority.
