As a Lead Principal Systems Software Engineer, you will join the team to bring up and harden Oracle Linux on ARM, Intel, and AMD-based platforms while developing secure, production-ready images and OS/firmware-update solutions. What you'll do

Bring up and harden Oracle Linux on ARM, Intel, and AMD-based embedded platforms.
Develop secure, production-ready images and OS/firmware-update solutions for scalable deployments.
Contribute to and extend open-source software including the Linux kernel, uboot, and ATF.
Collaborate with silicon vendors to manage reference code, firmware updates, and enablement.
Define architectural directions for system software across server, storage, networking, and GPU subsystems.
Lead the integration of system firmware with emerging hardware to ensure seamless bring-up and operability.
Analyze high-impact hardware provisioning failures to develop systemic engineering improvements for large-scale cloud fleets.
Mentor engineers and lead code reviews to establish standards for maintainable, production-grade firmware.

What we're looking for

Must have 6 to 10+ years of experience in the field.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Experience bringing up and hardening Oracle Linux on ARM, Intel, and AMD platforms is required.
Knowledge of Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) and chipsets is essential.
Ability to contribute to and extend open-source software in the Linux kernel, uboot, and ATF.
Demonstrated expertise in design leadership and technical leadership.
Proficiency in implementing effective development engineering practices and software engineering.
Ability to lead project initiatives, conduct code reviews, and mentor engineers across teams.
