What you'll do

Design and operate cloud-scale observability platforms for metrics, logs, and traces.
Architect scalable telemetry collection, ingestion, processing, storage, and query systems.
Develop distributed systems to process massive telemetry volumes with low latency.
Build scalable storage and indexing solutions for high-cardinality metrics.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the ingestion, storage, and query stack.
Drive technical strategy and architectural decisions for hyperscale observability services.
Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex distributed production environments.
Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership to foster engineering best practices.

What we're looking for

Applicants must have a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or an equivalent degree.
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in the industry.
Proficiency in programming languages including Java, Go, C, C++, and Python is required.
Experience is required in cloud scale products, multi-tenant services, and concurrent programming.
Candidates must have experience with open source technologies, cloud technologies, and the full product development lifecycle.
Strong communication, analytical skills, and the ability to adapt to fast-changing requirements are required.
Experience with designing and developing observability solutions for metrics, logs, and traces is preferred.
Experience with Terraform and large-scale distributed systems performance, scalability, reliability, and recovery is preferred.
