As a Lead Principal Platform Software Engineer, you will join the OCI Networking team to help rearchitect the routing foundation of the cloud networking platform. What you'll do

Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of highly scalable distributed systems for OCI Networking.
Drive technical direction for critical platform services involving routing, workload placement, and fleet management.
Build reliable and scalable cloud infrastructure in partnership with various internal Oracle organizations.
Mentor engineers and conduct design reviews to improve overall engineering standards.
Solve complex problems related to data plane operations at global cloud scale.
Influence architectural decisions and lead cross-team technical initiatives.

What we're looking for

10+ years of experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, networking software, or systems software.
Strong computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, distributed systems, and software design.
Experience designing, building, and operating highly available, production-grade distributed services at scale.
Experience building and operating modern CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and deployment workflows for large-scale distributed systems.
Demonstrated technical leadership including driving architecture, mentoring engineers, and leading cross-team initiatives.
Strong familiarity with network routing protocols (implementation experience is highly desirable).
BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
