What you'll do

Design and operate cloud-scale observability platforms for metrics, logs, and traces.
Implement scalable telemetry collection, ingestion, processing, storage, and query systems.
Develop scalable storage and indexing solutions for high-cardinality metrics.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the ingestion, storage, and query stack.
Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex distributed systems in production.
Establish and monitor service health, scalability, and cost-efficiency metrics.
Partner with service teams to improve instrumentation and telemetry quality across cloud services.

What we're looking for

B.S, M.S, or Ph.D in Computer Science or equivalent.
4+ years of experience in the industry.
Proficiency in programming languages including Java, Go, C, C++, and Python.
Experience with cloud scale products, multi-tenant services, concurrent programming, and cloud technologies.
Experience with the full product/service development and operations lifecycle.
Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to adapt to fast-changing requirements.
Experience with open source technologies for development and management.
Experience with tools such as terraform (preferred).
Experience with designing and developing observability solutions for metrics, logs, and traces (preferred).
Experience with performance, scalability, reliability, and recovery of large-scale distributed systems (preferred).
