As a Senior Platform Software Engineer, you will join the team building Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's state of the art observability platform. What you'll do

Design and operate cloud-scale observability platforms for metrics, logs, and traces.
Build scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient systems for telemetry collection, ingestion, and processing.
Develop storage and indexing solutions specifically designed for high-cardinality metrics.
Optimize distributed systems to handle massive volumes of data with low latency requirements.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across the entire observability stack.
Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex distributed systems in production environments.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on engineering best practices.
Partner with service teams to improve instrumentation quality and operational visibility.

What we're looking for

Must have a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or an equivalent degree.
Requires at least 4 years of experience in the industry.
Proficiency in programming languages including Java, Go, C, C++, and Python is required.
Experience with cloud scale products, multi-tenant services, and concurrent programming is required.
Must have experience with open source technologies and the full product/service development lifecycle.
Experience with distributed systems, large scale deployments, and cloud applications is required.
Preferred experience includes designing observability solutions for metrics, logs, and traces.
Preferred experience includes using tools such as Terraform.
