Lead Manufacturing Engineering

What you'll do

• Serve as the subject matter expert for laser powder bed fusion and directed energy deposition technologies.
• Provide Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) guidance on part selection, geometry, and material choices.
• Develop and maintain internal AM standards, process specifications, and design guidelines for metal components.
• Act as the technical authority for evaluating and selecting external additive manufacturing vendors.
• Lead qualification and certification strategies for mission-critical parts including test approaches and acceptance criteria.
• Create and deliver technical training and presentations on AM technologies and DfAM principles to cross-functional teams.
• Define and manage the site's AM technology strategy and internal R&D (IRAD) initiatives.
• Manage AM-focused IRAD projects, overseeing planning, execution, risk management, and status reporting.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree with 9 years of manufacturing engineering experience, a graduate degree with 7 years, or 16 years of experience without a degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in metal additive manufacturing operations or engineering.
• Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
• BS in Engineering or MS in Material Science (preferred).
• Active US Secret Security Clearance (preferred).
• Facilitation and/or teaching experience (preferred).
• Highly collaborative with the ability to influence without direct reporting relationships (preferred).
• U.S. citizens.
