Lead Engineering

What you'll do

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers to foster innovation and quality.
• Drive the architectural vision for a platform that runs on public, private, and on-premise clouds.
• Plan and execute the delivery of major features while identifying and managing project risks.
• Own the monitoring, operations, and maintenance of systems developed by your team.
• Remove technical obstacles and coordinate with other teams to ensure efficient team operations.
• Participate in hiring, resource allocation, and career development planning for engineering staff.
• Contribute to the long-term vision and roadmap for the platform's future growth.

What we're looking for

• Must have 8+ years of experience building distributed systems or foundational cloud services at scale.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Golang, Java, or Rust is required.
• Must have 2+ years of experience managing a team of at least 3 engineers.
• Proven track record in hiring, mentoring, and growing high-performing software engineering teams.
• Experience leading the launch and production maintenance of new features.
• Strong background in building core components for high-scale compute or data processing systems.
• Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills are required.
• Preferred experience with containerization/orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and AI frameworks.
