What you'll do

Lead the manufacturing engineering team to deliver on-time production for defense hardware products.
Manage the full product lifecycle from initial prototyping through high-volume production scaling.
Integrate Design for Manufacturing (DFM) best practices into the early stages of the design process.
Create and maintain technical documentation including MBOMs, work instructions, and manufacturing requirements.
Oversee vendor management, make-versus-buy decisions, and coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure quality.
Analyze production metrics to drive continuous improvement in cost reduction and capacity.
Develop testing methodologies and assembly processes for complex hardware systems.
Travel to supplier sites to resolve production issues and implement manufacturing procedures.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
8+ years of experience in manufacturing process development, preferably in a high-reliability industry.
Active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Expertise in creating detailed work instructions and manufacturing process documentation.
Experience optimizing manual assembly operations and establishing standardized work using lean manufacturing principles.
Proficiency with CAD software for creating assembly documentation and tooling design.
Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC), capability studies, and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) principles.
Experience with manufacturing execution systems and digital work instructions.
