What you'll do

Lead the manufacturing engineering team to drive process improvements and ensure high-quality production for new products.
Manage the full manufacturing lifecycle from initial prototyping through large-scale production.
Collaborate with design engineers to integrate design for manufacturability best practices into the development process.
Own technical documentation including MBOMs, work instructions, and requirements for hardware at scale.
Oversee mechanical fabrication and avionics as a subject matter expert in manufacturing processes.
Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure quality deliveries.
Analyze production metrics to drive continuous improvement in cost reduction and capacity.
Develop production and test methodologies to enable scaling capabilities for complex products.

What we're looking for

Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science.
8+ years of experience in manufacturing or a similar prototyping position.
Demonstrated in-kind or direct team leadership skills with backing examples.
Experience in mechanical fabrication and avionics with expertise in design for manufacturability.
Personal experience physically manufacturing hardware through machining, fabrication, soldering, or assembly.
Ability to manage production documentation including MBOMs, work instructions, and requirements.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
