Lead Manufacturing Engineer, Connected Warfare

What you'll do

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of manufacturing engineers across mechanical, electrical, and systems integration disciplines.
• Lead the transition of products from initial concept through prototype stages to full-scale production.
• Provide daily sustaining support by solving real-time issues involving mechanical fitment, electrical harnessing, software, and firmware.
• Drive design for manufacturing best practices during the development process in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Own technical documentation required for large-scale manufacturing, including MBOMs, work instructions, and requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with supply chain teams to facilitate make-versus-buy decisions.
• Analyze production metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives regarding cost reduction, quality, and capacity.
• Contribute to hardware design improvements involving interconnects, board fabrication, and inspection processes.

What we're looking for

• Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or a similar prototyping position.
• Demonstrated in-kind or direct team leadership skills with backing examples.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
• Experience building production organizations and leading large-scale change management initiatives (preferred).
• Harness and PCBA fabrication experience including SMT processes (preferred).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal, machining, and 3D printing (preferred).
• Software scripting experience in any language or proficiency in NX/Teamcenter (preferred).
