Lead Manufacturing Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead, hire, and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers to ensure on-time delivery of vehicle-integrated products.
• Manage the full manufacturing lifecycle from initial system requirements through prototyping, production, and long-term sustainment.
• Develop and execute manufacturing strategies for both low-rate complex integrations and high-volume production programs.
• Partner with design engineering to integrate Design for Manufacturability (DfM) into vehicle-based systems during early development phases.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for mechanical mounting, electrical harnessing, and vehicle-level assembly processes.
• Create and manage the documentation stack including MBOMs, work instructions, and configuration management artifacts.
• Establish sustainment engineering programs for fielded systems, including field-return diagnosis and retrofit execution.
• Facilitate make-versus-buy decisions and manage relationships with external vendors, OEMs, and integration partners.

What we're looking for

• Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science.
• 6+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or similar hardware production roles.
• Experience delivering large mechanical assemblies or complex integrated systems from development into production.
• Proven experience taking hardware products through the full lifecycle from prototype to rate production.
• Demonstrated direct team leadership experience managing manufacturing engineers on complex hardware programs.
• Personal experience physically manufacturing hardware via machining, fabrication, soldering, wiring, or assembly.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to export-controlled information or facilities.
