As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer within the Global Network Services Operations team, you will serve as a senior technical subject matter expert ensuring the reliability and resilience of mission-critical network infrastructure across a global environment. You will manage day-to-day incident and problem management for major data infrastructure issues, lead technical bridge calls, and mentor junior engineers to build team capability. Your daily work involves coordinating with engineering teams on bug fixes and design changes while managing infrastructure utilization to optimize service delivery. You will utilize technologies including Cisco ASR/GSR/Nexus, VXLAN, Cisco ACI, Arista Fabric, Fortinet, Check Point, F5 LTM/GTM/ASM, Wireshark, Splunk, SevOne, and ThousandEyes. The role addresses the complex technical challenges of maintaining high-availability network services, including routing, switching, load balancing, and multicast technologies within a large-scale enterprise infrastructure.
Lead day-to-day incident and problem management for major-impact network and data infrastructure issues globally.
Serve as a senior technical subject matter expert providing advanced troubleshooting and guidance across core network domains.
Manage technical bridge calls to coordinate bug fixes, design changes, and code upgrades with engineering teams.
Act as the primary point of contact for customers and stakeholders regarding service-impacting events and infrastructure concerns.
Coach and mentor junior and mid-level engineers to build team technical capability and operational discipline.
Plan and manage technology infrastructure utilization to optimize service delivery, resilience, and cost efficiency.
Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge articles for the organization.
Communicate complex technical findings clearly to management and stakeholders at all levels of the company.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Deep knowledge of enterprise network services, infrastructure domains, and service interdependencies in a large-scale global environment.
Hands-on experience with routing, switching, LAN/WAN, data center networking, wireless, security, load balancing, proxy, and optical transport.
Experience supporting mission-critical production networks including incident, problem, change, monitoring, capacity, and lifecycle management.
Experience with enterprise platforms such as Cisco ASR/GSR/Nexus, VXLAN, Cisco ACI, Arista Fabric, Fortinet, Check Point, F5 LTM/GTM/ASM, or equivalent.
Proficiency with protocol analysis tools like Wireshark or cPacket and monitoring tools like Splunk, SevOne, or ThousandEyes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Expert knowledge of multicast, low-latency networking, and market data technologies (preferred); experience with Python, Ansible, Linux, or risk compliance (preferred).
