What you'll do

Provide recommendations on data management, governance procedures, and data validation processes.
Manage GAIA application pools and monitor related infrastructure.
Design and maintain reliable software solutions for monitoring and alerting.
Resolve database performance issues involving code, infrastructure, and SQL Sentry tools.
Monitor and troubleshoot SQL Server Availability Groups, including replication and failovers.
Support PostgreSQL environments and vector database platforms for AI/ML retrieval workloads.
Use AI tools and agents to automate routine tasks and accelerate issue diagnosis.
Manage certificate tracking and renewals for the organization.

What we're looking for

7+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise databases and supporting infrastructure in large-scale, mission-critical environments.
Deep hands-on experience with relational databases, specifically Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
Proficiency with Transact-SQL (T-SQL).
Experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting SQL infrastructure, including Availability Groups for replication and failover.
Working knowledge of vector databases supporting AI/LLM retrieval and search workloads.
Experience with PowerShell scripting and ETL processes.
Experience with database performance troubleshooting and tuning using tools like SQL Sentry.
Experience designing and maintaining monitoring and alerting solutions at scale.
