Lead Electronic Development Engineer, Gateways

What you'll do

• Lead a team of engineers to design, develop, and test reliable electronics for Gateway systems.
• Drive electrical architecture, component selection, circuit board design, implementation, and verification.
• Perform hardware bring-up and debugging for complex electronic systems.
• Optimize existing designs to improve reliability and reduce production or field defects.
• Implement automated design validation test assets to accelerate development cycles.
• Mentor and train direct reports to foster product ownership and empowered decision-making.
• Manage the full lifecycle of hardware at the intersection of electrical, mechanical, thermal, and RF engineering.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or physics.
• 3+ years of professional experience with hardware design/development or electronics test engineering.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee to meet ITAR requirements.
• 6+ years of professional experience rapidly designing and delivering highly-reliable products (preferred).
• 6+ years of electronic product experience designing hardware from concept through production (preferred).
• 6+ years of experience designing and implementing mixed-signal circuit boards using processors, FPGAs, and high-speed interfaces (preferred).
• 6+ years of professional experience testing, troubleshooting, and debugging electronics (preferred).
• Strong understanding of computer networking, optical networking architectures, and programming languages like Python or C/C++ (preferred).
