As a Hardware Engineer, Gateways & Customer Hardware (Starlink), you will join the Starlink team to take ownership of developing millions of customer-facing products, including dishes, user terminals, and Wi-Fi routers. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and verification of entire electrical systems for these devices, as well as next-generation gateways designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions while maintaining reliable communication. Your daily work involves driving system trades, requirements capture, component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, hardware bring-up, and debugging. You will collaborate with silicon, software, mechanical, thermal, manufacturing, and production test teams to move products from concept to full-scale production. Required skills include experience with mixed-signal circuit boards involving processors, FPGAs, Ethernet, multi-GHz Serdes, DRAM interfaces, I2C, SPI, and power supply components, alongside proficiency in Python and C/C++.
