The engineer will develop software utilities to convert diagnostic sequences into cycle-accurate vector formats like STIL or WGL while optimizing tester execution times for data center GPU IPs. Key responsibilities include managing firmware interactions, power management behaviors, and high-bandwidth memory controllers. Required skills include proficiency in C/C++ and Python, experience with ATE platforms like V93000 or UltraFLEX, and knowledge of BIST/MBIST, scan compression, and chiplet interconnect protocols. The role addresses the challenge of shifting validation earlier in the production lifecycle for complex chiplet architectures.
Define the technical roadmap and architecture for migrating post-silicon software diagnostics onto wafer sort and ATE hardware.
Develop software utilities to convert functional diagnostic sequences into cycle-accurate vector formats for high-end testers.
Act as the primary technical liaison between GFX/Compute Diagnostics, Product Engineering, and Design-for-Test teams.
Build deterministic models that emulate host behaviors on ATE hardware by analyzing firmware and power management dependencies.
Optimize tester execution times while maximizing structural and functional test coverage for data center GPU IPs.
Design and implement diagnostic test cases to identify silicon issues early in the production lifecycle.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Proven industry experience in silicon engineering including post-silicon validation, product engineering, diagnostics development, or structural/functional test generation.
Proficiency in C/C++ and Python with knowledge of bare-metal programming, firmware interactions, and system memory maps.
Hands-on experience with production-grade Automated Test Equipment platforms like V93000 or UltraFLEX.
Expert understanding of structural pattern generation, vector timing, clock domains, and diagnostic patterns such as BIST/MBIST.
Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing challenges for data center architectures, including HBM integration and multi-die chiplet interconnect protocols.
Deep understanding of GFX and compute architectures to design and implement diagnostic and test cases.
Experience working in DevOps environments using GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
