Lead ASIC Modem Design Engineer, Satellite Communication

What you'll do

• Define specifications and micro-architecture for modem PHY subsystem blocks and signal processing data paths.
• Lead the design of one or more DSP data path subsystems using System Verilog.
• Implement wireless system architecture from system specifications to RTL implementation and chip-level validation.
• Develop solutions to optimize throughput, latency, and availability while meeting power and cost constraints.
• Create standalone verification test benches and participate in system-level verification using UVM, System C, and DPI-C.
• Ensure blocks meet DFT, timing, and power targets by collaborating with the implementation team.
• Resolve complex hardware-software interaction issues with PHY-MAC boundary, software, and system integration teams.
• Mentor junior team members and assign specific work tasks.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Communications Engineering, or experience working in the electrical engineering field.
• 7+ years of experience in digital logic design, preferably in DSP or communication systems.
• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical / Communications Engineering (preferred).
• Familiarity with UVM and Matlab (preferred).
• Knowledge of wireless communication standards such as 5G NR, LTE, DVB-S2/S2X, or satellite communication protocols (preferred).
• Experience with ASIC design tools like Cadence, Synopsys, or Mentor Graphics for synthesis, timing analysis, and physical design flows (preferred).
