This role involves owning integration plans and procedures across various orbital regimes, coordinating deliverables to launch providers, and serving as the primary point of contact for customers regarding launch activities. The manager will collaborate with internal engineering teams to build and test complex functionality, triage technical failures, and ensure compliance with FCC and NOAA regulations. Key responsibilities include supporting ground testing, managing launch windows, and overseeing on-orbit operations. The ideal candidate possesses an engineering background in mechanical or aerospace fields, four years of professional launch experience, and the ability to solve complex problems independently. Required skills include clear communication, technical documentation, and maintaining a U.S. Secret security clearance while navigating requirements for commercial rideshare and national security space launches.

What you'll do

  • Deliver all required documentation and materials to launch providers for payload processing.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between launch providers, customers, and internal engineering teams.
  • Triage technical issues, conduct root cause failures, and coordinate necessary corrective actions.
  • Manage demanding schedules during ground testing, launch windows, and on-orbit operations.
  • Coordinate with government agencies to obtain required licenses and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure all spacecraft and payloads meet specific requirements for commercial and national security launches.

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years of professional launch experience.
  • Experience conducting launch integration operations with an emphasis on safety and reliability.
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems with little oversight while navigating complex systems and requirements.
  • Clear communication and organizational skills, including the ability to create documentation and training materials.
  • Must currently possess and be able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
