Manager, Satellite Processing Technology, Launch Ops

What you'll do

• Lead a team of engineers and technicians to support multiple processing facilities and launch sites.
• Maintain budget and staffing plans for the payload processing technology team.
• Establish standards for the production and maintenance of electrical ground support hardware, software, and networks.
• Direct the maintenance, calibration, and upgrade of instrumentation racks, vehicle power supplies, and harnesses.
• Coordinate cable harness shop operations including work orders, procurement, and repairs.
• Interface with stakeholders to establish power and telecom for facilities and work cells.
• Author and review job hazard analyses to ensure all work scope is carried out safely.
• Implement engineering best practices to improve efficiency and reduce non-conformances in hardware integration.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Able to obtain and maintain a US Passport and meet customs entry requirements including specific immunizations.
• Able to pass Kennedy Space Center background checks.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in electrical, computer, software, or information technology engineering (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience as a manager or supervisor of engineering teams in an aerospace environment (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience with electrical ground support equipment development, test, and day-to-day operations (preferred).
• Familiarity with avionics protocols, cable harnesses, instrumentation racks, and programmable power supplies (preferred).
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking and network physical layer hardware (preferred).
• Experience with corporate procurement processes and contracts (preferred).
• Demonstrated history of managing workflows and production line support (preferred).
• Implementation of AWS services and permissions (preferred).
• Knowledge of NFPA 70 National Electric Code (preferred).
