What you'll do

  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians to support multiple processing facilities and launch sites.
  • Manage budget and staffing plans for the payload processing technology team.
  • Establish standards for the production and maintenance of electrical ground support hardware, software, and networks.
  • Plan new facilities for the storage, processing, and launch preparation of satellites and flight hardware.
  • Direct the maintenance, calibration, and upgrade of instrumentation racks, vehicle power supplies, and harnesses.
  • Coordinate cable harness shop operations including work orders, procurement, and repair activities.
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders to establish power and telecommunications for facilities.
  • Author and review job hazard analyses to ensure all work is performed in a safe manner.

What we're looking for

  • Experience leading engineering development or operations teams as a lead engineer, test director, supervisor, or manager.
  • Experience with project management of technical projects.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Passport and meet international customs entry requirements.
  • Ability to pass Kennedy Space Center background checks.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electrical, computer, software, or information technology engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience as a manager or supervisor of engineering teams in an aerospace environment.
