Joint Fires Operational Planner, Journeyman serves within the Intelligence Sector to support United States Cyber Command operations. Provide operational planning support to drive the USCYBERCOM Joint Fires targeting process.
Coordinate targeting strategies and engagement responsibilities with interagency partners and supporting commands.
Develop cyber TTPs to advise planners on achieving cyberspace effects for operations and exercises.
Act as a technical liaison between capability experts, developers, and operational units during planning phases.
Draft and develop USCYBERCOM joint targeting policies, procedures, and commander guidance.
Participate in Joint Targeting Working Groups to prioritize and synchronize target requirements.
Prepare strike packages, cyber fires approval packages, and information operations target packages.
Analyze all-source intelligence to identify cyber threat patterns and maintain situational awareness of advanced persistent threats.
What we're looking for
Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance with Polygraph required.
BA/BS degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Intelligence Studies, or related field, or ability to complete within one year of hire.
Five to eight years of experience supporting Cyberspace Operations or intelligence operations with a focus on Joint Targeting.
Acceptable alternative of 10 years combined experience across Cyberspace Operations, Information Operations, Joint Targeting, and Operational Planning.
DoD or Intelligence Community-sponsored certification for Joint Targeting and completion of operational planning training.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification required.
Proficiency with target management systems (e.g., MIDB, Coliseum, CAT) and understanding of Joint Targeting Cycle doctrine.
Master's degree, experience with AI/ML or Space-enabled Cyberspace Operations, and familiarity with Power BI are preferred.
