As a Java, Angular, React Full stack Lead Software Engineer within Corporate Technology, you will join an agile team to build and deliver secure, stable, and scalable market-leading technology products. You will be responsible for designing creative software solutions, developing high-quality production code, and troubleshooting complex technical problems while leading the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve delivery speed and quality. Your daily work involves managing the full software development life cycle, conducting vendor evaluations, and leading communities of practice. You will utilize a tech stack including Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Angular, AngularJS, React, and Python. Additionally, you will develop RESTful APIs using Oracle or NoSQL databases like Cassandra, manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Terraform, and ensure secure coding practices within the financial services industry's complex IT systems.
Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing across the team.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Lead communities of practice to promote awareness and adoption of leading-edge technologies.
Design and develop REST-based web interfaces and APIs using various programming languages and databases.
Implement automated CI/CD pipelines and manage cloud-based deployment paradigms.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages including Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Angular, Angular JS, or React.
Experience designing REST-based web interfaces/APIs and understanding of relational and NoSQL databases like Oracle, Cockroachdb, or Cassandra.
Understanding of automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Terraform, along with cloud development principles.
Experience creating unit and integration test suites using JUNIT and Cucumber, plus experience in VS Code and AI tools like Copilot or Claude Code.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring security, performance, and data sensitivity standards.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems; Go, Python, IAM solutions, Kerberos, and oAuth 2 (preferred).
