Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems.
• Write high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
• Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system operational stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
• Lead communities of practice to promote the adoption of leading-edge technologies across the engineering organization.
• Implement AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring outputs meet security, performance, and accuracy standards.
• Coach engineers on the safe and compliant use of AI within engineering workflows and data handling.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification in Software Engineering and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
• Understanding of architecture and design across all systems.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java, JavaScript, React, and REST Services.
• 3+ years of relational database software development experience.
• 10+ years of experience with full development lifecycle from inception through implementation.
• Familiarity with development tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Jira.
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of AI-assisted software development tools and understanding responsible AI usage in engineering workflows.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies like CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security (preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems (preferred).
• Practical cloud native experience, preferably on AWS (preferred).
