Intern, Electrical Engineer, FPGA

What you'll do

• Generate design concepts and architectures to satisfy specific performance requirements.
• Design sub-systems and modules with a focus on digital circuits and FPGA code.
• Perform simulations to verify performance before integrating and testing the FPGA on circuit card assemblies.
• Support the full life cycle development and integration of VHDL into various FPGA families.
• Model, simulate, and integrate multiple FPGA-based modules using VHDL.
• Support bench-level system integration involving hardware, software, and other FPGA designs.
• Assist with qualification and production testing to troubleshoot and resolve test failures.
• Provide customer support for the use and troubleshooting of fielded products.

What we're looking for

• Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical degree.
• Candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
• Candidate must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.
• Experience coding in VHDL and modeling algorithms, simulating, and integrating multiple FPGA-based modules is required.
• Knowledge or exposure to basic FPGA design tools for Altera or AMD (Xilinx) (preferred).
• Coursework in digital logic and reconfigurable logic design (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree.
