The Integration/Test Engineering Intern joins the engineering team to support the setup, configuration, and documentation of hardware and software systems under test. The individual will contribute to the development of test plans, requirements traceability, test reports, and case designs while documenting failures and performing results analysis. They will also participate in formal systems acceptance testing, failure investigation activities, and failure review board meetings. Preferred technical skills include knowledge of communications systems, software programming languages, automated software testing, networks, network security, power systems, antennas, RF, and mechanical design. Additional desired competencies include requirements analysis, verification, software scripting, and the use of automated testing frameworks and applications within a defense technology context.

What you'll do

Set up, configure, and document hardware and software systems under test.
Develop cost-effective procedures for testing and troubleshooting components and assemblies.
Create test plans, requirements traceability, test reports, and case designs.
Document testing issues and perform detailed analysis of test results.
Support formal systems acceptance testing activities.
Present test strategies, plans, and results to internal and external customers.
Participate in failure investigation activities and failure review board meetings.

What we're looking for

Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge of communications systems, software programming languages, automated software test, networks, network security, power systems, antennas, RF, and/or mechanical design and analysis (preferred).
Experience with requirements analysis and verification, software scripting, and usage of automated testing frameworks and applications (preferred).
U.S. citizens.
