Systems Engineering Intern will join the team to support the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures. The role involves performing operational analysis, developing concept of operations, and creating design and implementation plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing test plans, procedures, and cases, conducting tests while documenting results, and analyzing systems requirements from end users. The position requires utilizing software tools, scripting, and performing software and hardware troubleshooting to communicate design activity plans to internal and external customers. Preferred skills include experience in systems architecture, system performance modeling, integration, project management, and model-based systems engineering. Candidates should be familiar with Rhapsody. This role focuses on solving technical challenges within the defense technology sector by addressing mission-critical needs across space, air, land, sea, and cyber domains to support national security.
Perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations, design, and implementation plans.
Develop test plans, procedures, and specific test cases.
Conduct system tests and document the resulting data.
Utilize software tools, scripting, and hardware/software troubleshooting techniques.
Analyze system requirements from end users and integrated systems.
Support the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures.
Deliver presentations to communicate design activity plans and status to internal and external customers.
What we're looking for
Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, architecture, analysis, design, performance modeling, integration, project management, and model-based systems engineering (preferred).
Familiarity with Rhapsody (preferred).
Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain a security clearance.
