The Integration/Test Engineering Intern joins a team focused on the testing and troubleshooting of components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and systems. This role involves setting up and configuring hardware and software systems under test, loading software onto multiple devices, and documenting testing issues while performing analysis of results. The intern will support the development of test plans, procedures, requirements traceability, and test case design while participating in formal systems acceptance testing and failure review board meetings. Key technical skills include knowledge of communications systems, power systems, antennas, RF, networks, network security, and mechanical design. Preferred competencies involve software programming languages, automated software testing, scripting, and the use of automated testing frameworks. The work centers on ensuring mission-critical hardware and software functionality within complex defense technology environments across various domains.
Set up, configure, and document hardware and software systems under test.
Load software onto multiple devices to support testing operations.
Develop cost-effective procedures for testing and troubleshooting components and assemblies.
Create test plans, requirements traceability, test reports, and case designs.
Document testing issues and perform detailed analysis of test results.
Support formal systems acceptance testing activities.
Present test strategies, plans, and results to internal and external customers.
Participate in failure investigation activities and failure review board meetings.
What we're looking for
Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field at an accredited university.
Knowledge of communications systems, software programming languages, automated software test, networks, network security, power systems, antennas, RF, and/or mechanical design and analysis (preferred).
Experience with requirements analysis and verification, software scripting, and usage of automated testing frameworks and applications (preferred).
