What you'll do

  • Maintain, calibrate, configure, and troubleshoot instrumentation, process controls, and data acquisition systems.
  • Investigate and document malfunctions in electrical systems and electronic components.
  • Build, test, and modify developmental and production electrical units and assemblies.
  • Perform wire terminations for sensors including pressure transducers, thermocouples, valves, and flow meters.
  • Adjust and calibrate circuitry while recording the effects on unit performance.
  • Interpret technical documents such as schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and engineering sketches.
  • Execute hardware assembly tasks including soldering, crimping, cable routing, and building junction boxes.
  • Set up data acquisition equipment to conform to specific test parameters and plans.

What we're looking for

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 2+ years of experience working with instrumentation such as pressure transducers, thermocouples, valves, flow meters, multimeters, or oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks in cramped positions, at heights, or in extreme outdoor environments.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for export control authorizations.
  • IPC 620 spec for harness assembly (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Wheatstone Bridge Theory, Ohm's Law, DC electronics, and signal conditioning concepts (preferred).
  • Experience with various instrumentation, bus architectures, data acquisition hardware, and project planning (preferred).
