Electrical Design Engineer, Gateways & Customer Hardware

As an Electrical Design Engineer, Gateways & Customer Hardware (Starlink), you will join the Starlink team to take ownership of developing millions of customer-facing products, including dishes, user terminals, and Wi-Fi routers. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and verification of entire electrical systems, as well as next-generation gateways designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions while maintaining reliable communication. Your daily work involves driving system trades, requirements capture, component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, and hardware bring-up. You will collaborate with silicon, software, mechanical, thermal, manufacturing, and production test teams to move products from concept to full-scale production. Required skills include experience with mixed-signal circuit boards featuring processors, FPGAs, Ethernet, multi-GHz Serdes, DRAM interfaces, I2C, SPI, and power supply components, alongside proficiency in Python and C/C++.
